Hospital Drama

I am NEVER coming back to this hospital ever ever ever ever ever again.

Today, me being the genius I am, decided “Hey why not go up to the hospital with Justin and do my grant work while he works.” Yeah sounds brilliant doesn’t it? So I pack up my cute little man and all the things he might need for surviving and what not and I enjoy myself.

Well I have ceased to enjoy myself. This day is getting awful. It is 1:33 in the morning and I am STILL here. Justin gets off work at 11:30. So why you ask, are we not home? Because he’s helping the new guy. Now new Josh is cool and all… but today, I’m seriously in dislike of him.
No just kidding New Josh, you’re awesome.

But yeah, I’ve been here almost 11 hours. I’M FREAKING TIRED. Good thing the hubs is off tomorrow so we can relax and sleep… Little man will probably sleep in too. So I leave you now with pictures of my space and the HUGE mess I’ve made.

Not to mention, I didn’t get ANY grant work done (I’m such a procrastinator)

The Beginning

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! My name is Katie and I am 19 years old. I live in a small town in north Alabama and am a mother and a wife. The story of how I got to where I am today starts on November 16 2009, when a little decision changed my entire life.

I met Justin through a friend… a friend who dated him. Okay okay, before you exit the blog and talk about how completely awful I am all I have to say is it was WORTH it. Every bit of it. I had always been a bit of a loner anyways. Never the less after their bad break up we got together and it was amazing. He was older than me (4 years to be exact) and was a hard working, well meaning man. Everything was great, he even proposed to me in February. I of course said yes, and we set the date for the next November, little did we know we would be getting a big surprise that November.

To be honest I always knew I was going to have babies young (I never thought that young) but I knew it was meant to be. I found out I was pregnant on March 15 2010, after a trip. I was terrified, worried about if he would still want to be with me. I knew I couldn’t do it without him. When I told him he actually seemed kinda happy for us. I then told my parents and Justin told his… then we got married on April 10, 2010 (just a little sooner than we had hoped).

The months flew by faster than I was ready for and before I knew it I was as big as a whale and it was time to have a baby.

I went in to the hospital at 7:00 on November 9th (They had decided to induce me because the baby was getting pretty big, the ultrasound estimated 8 pounds 10 oz). The gave me a small pill designed to soften things and get everything ready to go. The next morning I began having contractions (boy was it painful) and by 8 that night it was time to push!

I pushed for two and a half hours before they decided to use forceps. Once they were situated it took one more push and little Seth came into the world. He was an 8 pound 7 ounce miracle and I loved him more than anything.

Over the next few months we faced many new things, physically (anything from migraines to gallbladder surgery) and emotionally. But we’ve managed alright… and this is my blog to tell it all from my Photography hobby to my fast food job. I sincerely hope you enjoy.
